AWVR Part 1 Fixed

Hey everyone,

I've uploaded updated files for the AWVR locomotives. Users of TRS2006 are encouraged to download them again (not necessary for users of TS2009/2010 as the problem only applied to older versions of Trainz).

Sorry again for the mix up!

  1. I love the loco's. I having one problem though. The SD70Ace isn't showing up. The SD70Ace is in my rail yard but when I click on it it wont show up. I downloaded all of the dependencies you put up, did I miss something?

  2. Did you grab all of the dependencies from the DLS as well (engine sound and engine spec)? Are there any dependencies listed with a question mark)?

    Did you commit everything?

Also, what version of Trainz are you running?

  3. Well, there is one thing I didn't try yet. When I get home I'll try it and let you know if it worked.

  4. It didn't work. Also the SD40-2's aren't working either.

  5. What version of Trainz are you running?

  6. Don't know what to say. They work fine on my computer (finally got 2006 going after the hideous crash, and they work fine on that as well as on 2009).

    Try downloading them again...

  7. I know that this will probably be a stupid question for you but I just want to be sure. Do you want me to download from the web site onto my computer again or from my computer onto trainz again?

  8. From the web site to your computer.

Also, 2006 is rather temperamental on my computer. All of the engines work, except some of them take a little while to appear (The SD70M took a good minute and a half to show up).

If the engines are listed in Railyard, it might also be that Trainz is just taking its time to load them (that and the numerous crashes is why I mostly play 2009 these days).

  9. Didn't work, is there something off of this web site that I have to download?

  10. Well, besides the engines themselves, there's all of the non-DLS dependencies (links below each engine). Everything else should be on the DLS.

If absolutely nothing works, then I have absolutely no idea what's wrong. Everything works fine on my computer and seems to be working well on others.

Sorry I can't provide more help, but I'm completely out of ideas as to what is wrong with your install. I don't know, just keep messing around with it. You're bound to get them to work eventually...

  11. Wait, did you say there's stuff I need to download on the DLS? I can't access the DLS anymore because people are now required to have a first class ticket in order to access the DLS. Plus on top of that I don't know what thing's I would need to download on the DLS.

  12. Yeah, all of the engines have things that are only available on the DLS. Mostly engine sounds and engine specs. Sorry, there's nothing I can do about that.

As for what you need to download, CMP can give you a list of dependencies (right click on a locomotive and select "view dependencies"). Since 2006 can't access the DLS without a FCT (thanks to how Auran runs things), it will likely just display it as a list of KUID numbers. You can search the DLS (http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php) by KUID numbers.

Sorry for your troubles, but I'm simply not allowed to redistribute items found on the DLS (all I can do is direct you to do the download pages). The alternative is to search for the dependencies you need on the DLS, take note of who the creator was, and get a hold of them and have them send you the CDPs (only the original creator is allowed to redistribute content found on the DLS).

  13. I don't think you understand, I can't even look through there downloads anymore, not without a FCT anyway. Its really stupid, it used to be I didn't need one at all to download stuff (under 100Mb). So I'm pretty much SOL on the ACE and SD40's until I get a FCT, lucky I pre-ordered Trainz 10Th Anniversary collectors edition and it comes with a 30 day FCT and a chance to win a life time ticket. I'll be able to get those kuids later but other downloaders might not be so lucky. Just sayin. By the way, are you going to make an SD70Ace in the 3 other paint scheme's? I would love to see a pase 2 and phase 3a on one.

  14. Well, don't forget to download the DLS dependencies when you get the FCT.

As for the SD70ACe; no, I do not plan to make it in the other paint schemes. The ACe, along with the 7700 ES44s, is the most recent addition to the AWVR fleet and therefore wears the most recent paint scheme known as Phase IIIb.
In my universe, the Phase IIIb was originally exclusive to 777 - referred to by the company directors as "Lucky Sevens"...before the incident (now it's known as "The Beast") - but is being applied to newly purchased/rebuilt units.

The schemes I came up with go like this...

Phase I (black & orange) - Used since the company was founded until 1996.

Phase Ib (grey) - Introduced in the mid '80s. It's a basic scheme used to get the engines out of the shops faster.

Phase II (blue, white, & yellow) - Used on wide "comfort" cab locomotives like the SD70 and Dash-9. Introduced in 1996.

Phase IIb (blue & yellow) - Used on standard "spartan" cab locomotives like the SD40. Introduced in 1996.

Phase III (red, black, & yellow) - Used solely on wide cab locomotives. Introduced in late 2008.

Phase IIIb (red & yellow) - Derived from Phase III, this was originally exclusive to 777 ("Lucky Sevens / The Beast"), when it was purchased by AWVR in early 2009. It began to appear on a larger number of locomotives in late 2010 when the company began its fleet rehabilitation program (engines rebuilt, sold off, or traded). Used on newly purchased/rebuilt units.
